Template per autori

Ciao a tutti e buon anno! Notavo come gli autori abbiano tutti una caterva di categorie rosse. Immagino che sia perché avete importato paro paro il template Autore di it.ws con tutte le sue complicazioni. Be', se volete passare a qualcosa di nettamente più semplice, vi consiglio di usare quello di vec.ws, che si compone di: vec:Modèl:Autor e vec:Modulo:Autor. E' ancora più semplice da usare, basta mettere il template senza alcun parametro. Al posto di Attività e Nazionalità usa il campo description di Wikidata, e possiamo anche fargli prendere la description in italiano se non c'è in napoletano. Genera un numero molto inferiore di categorie (quasi nessuna, in effetti; quindi molte meno categorie rosse da creare). Ed essendo più breve, sicuramente è anche più facile da customizzare in futuro. --Candalua (chiacchiere) 00:20, 3 jen 2020 (CET)

In effetti, ho importato quello di it.ws perché quello conoscevo, si potrebbe addirittura discutere al bar di it se si vuole aggiornare il loro template per renderlo definitivamente automatico come quello veneto. Habemus Statistiche!

Ciao! Sono finalmente riuscito ad aggiungervi alle ProofreadPage Statistics che trovate qua: https://tools.wmflabs.org/phetools/statistics.php. Ora avete finalmente accesso ad un conteggio preciso (niente a che vedere con Speciàle:Statistiche che dà dei numeri a casaccio) del lavoro svolto, e devo dire che i numeri parlano da soli: 4000 pagine proofread, 1845 validate, il 75% dei testi dotato di scansione a fronte... davvero niente male! Inoltre se vi interessa posso vedere di aggiungervi anche nelle pagine dei grafici: https://tools.wmflabs.org/phetools/stats.html e https://tools.wmflabs.org/phetools/transclusions.html, così da vedere anche l'andamento nel tempo. COVID-19

Guagliu', un poco tardi mi son deciso a mettere mano al sito.

In questi giorni ho apportato parecchie novità:

• Nuovo Edittools (grazie all'aiuto prezioso di Daimona_Eaytoy), lo trovate in basso alle pagine di modifica.
  • Si può migliorare lo stile: sto facendo delle prove in utente:Ruthven/common.css se qualcuno vuole buttare un occhio.
• Introdotto la possibilità di scaricare i libri per gli ebooks (notate il tool in alto, nel namespace principale).
• Aggiunto un avvertimento di precauzioni per il COVID-19 nella pagina principale (grazie alla Regione Marche per il video).
  • Se avete file di raccomandazioni o video che ritenete più utili e che volete utilizzare, sono tutt'orecchi.

SUBPAGES

Ci sta un bug alla creazione di Wikisource e le sottopagine: si, ogni pagina del namespace Paggena, non viene richiamata nelle magic words di Mediawiki. In pratica si sono dimenticati di aggiungere il flag al momento della creazione di nap.wikisource ed ora ci chiedono se veramente vogliamo che il progetti funzioni bene con le sottopagine?

Community Tech Launches Wikisource Improvement Initiative

Hello everyone,

We hope you are all healthy and safe in these difficult times.

The Community Tech team has just launched a new initiative to improve Wikisource. We will be addressing five separate wishes, which came out of the 2020 Community Wishlist Survey, and we want you to be a part of the process! The projects include the following:

• Improve ebook export
• Improve OCR tools
• Migrate Wikisource specific edit tools from gadgets to Wikisource extension
• Inter-language link support via Wikidata
• Insert attestation on Wiktionary using Wikisource as a corpus

For the first project, the team will focus on the #1 wish: improve ebook exports. We have created a project page, which includes an analysis of the ebook export process. We now invite everyone to visit the page and share their feedback on the project talk page. Please let us know what you think of our analysis; we want to hear from all of you! Problema nella schermata di modifica

Da qualche giorno sto avendo problemi nell'interfaccia di modifica sinottica: la pagina scansionata, al posto di essere a destra, è in basso a destra, e questo rende impossibile trascrivere il testo (vedi schermata). Ho provato a resettare tutte le preferenze e le funzionalità beta, ma non cambia nulla. È un problema che ho solo su nap.source, e non su it.source. Ho risolto temporaneamente usando l'interfaccia alternativa (pagina scansionata in alto, campo di trascrizione in basso) ma non mi trovo molto bene. I am pleased to announce that the Community Tech team at WMF has posted our August update on the Wikisource Ebook Export Improvement project! This project came out of our 2020 Community Wishlist Survey, and it was the #1 wish voted on by survey participants.

So, what does this mean? In short, we want your feedback! Now that we have posted the August update, we want to know what you think. The update includes findings from our community consultation, results from two separate analyses conducted by the team (on improving WSExport reliability & font rendering support), and proposed next steps. It is our hope that people can read our analysis, share their feedback, and engage in a conversation with us on the talk page. Your feedback will be invaluable, and it will help determine the next steps of the project.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the consultation so far! It's been a joy to explore how we can improve the ebook export experience. Now, we look forward to reading a new round of feedback on the project talk page!

Nuovi libri sul napoletano su it.source

Segnalo due libri ottocenteschi a tema napoletano che ho caricato su it.source:

• it:Indice:Vocabolario_del_dialetto_napolitano_(Rocco_1882,_A_-_CAN).djvu – i primi fascicoli di quello che sarebbe stato un grande dizionario storico napoletano-italiano. Da notare che recentemente i fascicoli F-Z sono stati pubblicati in una tesi di dottorato cc-by-nd, li ho trovati utilissimi per capire parole napoletane antiche mentre trascrivevo Cortese.
• it:Indice:La mimica degli antichi investigata nel gestire napoletano.djvu – un trattato di antropologia dei gesti napoletani.

Buongiorno, hanno completato il Pagelist widget, che è un gadget per modificare il pagelist con il Visual Editor. Premesso che il Visual Editor su Wikipedia funziona malissimo per tutto ciò che è modifiche avanzate, mi chiedevo se valeva la pena aggiungerlo qui. Wikisource Pagelist Widget: Wikisource Meetup (29th September 2020)

Hello everyone,

We hope you are doing well!

We reached out to you a couple of weeks ago to share that Wikisource Pagelist Widget is now ready to be enabled to Wikisource. Since then, many language Wikisources have enabled the widget but many are yet to do so.

So, we have decided to organize a Wikisource Meetup to give a live demonstration on how to use the widget in both wikitext and visual modes. There will be some time for the participants to share their feedback and experience with the widget. We will also provide support in case some Wikisource communities are seeking help in enabling the widget.

The meetup will take place on 29 September 2020 at 9:30 AM UTC or 3 PM IST. Google Meet link for the meeting is: http://meet.google.com/khu-dfph-qsd

Looking forward to seeing the global Wikisource community connect amid these difficult times when physical meetings have not been taking place.

Global bot policy proposal: invitation to a Meta discussion

I apologize for sending a message in English. Aiutatece a traducere dint' 'a lengua vosta. According to the list, your wiki project currently is opted in to the global bot policy. Under this policy, bots that fix double redirects or maintain interwiki links are allowed to operate under a global bot flag that is assigned directly by the stewards.

As the Wikimedia projects developed, the need for the current global bot policy decreased, and in the past years, no bots were appointed via that policy. That is mainly given Wikidata were estabilished in 2013, and it is no longer necessary to have dozens of bots that maintain interwiki links.

A proposal was made at Meta-Wiki, which proposes that the stewards will be authorized to determine whether an uncontroversial task may be assigned a global bot flag. The stewards already assign permissions that are more impactful on many wikis, namely, global sysops and global renamers, and I do not think that trust should be an issue. The stewards will assign the permission only to time-proven bots that are already approved at a number of projects, like ListeriaBot.

By this message, I would like to invite you to comment in the global RFC, to voice your opinion about this matter.

Proposal: Set two-letter project shortcuts as alias to project namespace globally

Hello everyone,

I apologize for posting in English. I would like to inform everyone that I created a new global request for comment (GRFC) at Meta Wiki, which may affect your project: m:Requests for comment/Set short project namespace aliases by default globally.

In this GRFC, I propose that two-project shortcuts for project names will become a default alias for the project namespace. For instance, on all Wikipedias, WP will be an alias to the Wikipedia: namespace (and similar for other projects). Full list is available in the GRFC.

This is already the case for Wikivoyages, and many individual projects asked for this alias to be implemented. I believe this makes it easier to access the materials in the project namespace, as well as creating shortcuts like WP:NPOV, as well as helps new projects to use this feature, without having to figure out how to request site configuration changes first.

As far as I can see, Wikisource currently does not have such an alias set. This means that such an alias will be set for you, if the GRFC is accepted by the global community.

I would like to ask all community members to participate in the request for comment at Meta-Wiki, see m:Requests for comment/Set short project namespace aliases by default globally.

Cara comunità,

con l'obiettivo di facilitare l'organizzazione delle future itWikiCon, un gruppo di organizzatori delle edizioni passate, con all'interno anche rapppresentanti di WMI e WMCH, ha pensato di proporre questo regolamento: lo scopo è quello di riuscire ogni anno in tempi rapidi ad assegnare l'organizzazione di itWikiCon e ottenere, se necessario, il supporto economico dei chapter.

Nel caso in cui ci siano più proposte concomitanti, il procedimento servirebbe anche a decidere quale candidatura sostenere. Ovviamente è solo una bozza che proponiamo alla comunità di lingua italiana di commentare e approvare. L'obiettivo sarebbe avere un testo approvato entro fine aprile in modo da dare tempo a chi si volesse organizzarne una dal vivo per il 2022 (per il 2021 sarà necessariamente ancora on-line).

Global bot policy changes

I apologize for sending a message in English. Aiutatece a traducere dint' 'a lengua vosta. According to the list, your wiki project is currently opted in to the global bot policy. As such, I want to let you know about some changes that were made after the global RfC was closed.

• Global bots are now subject to a 2 week discussion, and it'll be publicized via a MassMessage list, available at Bot policy/New global bot discussion on Meta. Please subscribe yourself or your wiki if you are interested in new global bots proposals.
• For a bot to be considered for approval, it must demonstrate it is welcomed in multiple projects, and a good way to do that is to have the bot flag on at least 5 wikis for a single task.
• The bot operator should make sure to adhere to the wiki's preference as related to the use of the bot flag (i.e., if a wiki doesn't want a bot to use the flag as it edits, that should be followed).

OCR

Dopo una prima fase in cui facevamo notare i difetti del tool OCR su Wikisource, il gruppo di lavoro ha pubblicato le prime migliorie al tool. Buttateci un occhio e magari commentate, perché sulle lingue minori (es. 'o nnapulitano) gli strumenti basati sull'apprendimento non funzionano benissimo. Hi (and sorry for writing in English). The issue with the nap language code not working has been somewhat resolved, in that it will now not result in an error but instead fall back to auto-discovery of the text language. This has variable results, but does at least return some OCR text. The quality of it varies between Tesseract and Google. Would anyone here be able to test it, and perhaps re-enable the widget in common.css? Or let us know how else we can improve things. Thanks! —Samwilson (chiacchiere) 04:42, 23 lug 2021 (CEST)

Raffaele Viviani

Da quest'anno l'opera di Raffaele Viviani è nel dominio pubblico, visto che sono passati 70 anni dalla sua morte nel 1950.

È uno dei più grandi interpreti della cultura napoletana del XX secolo (attore, poeta, scrittore e cantante). Potremmo metter su una specie di special per i prossimi mesi, caricando e leggendo qualche opera sua e mettendola nella pagina principale. Wikisource Satisfaction Survey 2021

In the past year, there has been a lot of changes to Wikisource features and tools. This was done by the Community Tech team at the Wikimedia Foundation, grantees funded by the Foundation or through projects like Google Summer of Code. We would like to understand what you feel about the changes. Tell us what you think about such tools as the Wikisource Pagelist Widget or the new Ebook Export tool.

Take the survey in English, French, Spanish, Polish, Hindi or Punjabi. The deadline is 25th July 2021.

This survey will be conducted via a third-party service, which may subject it to additional terms. For more information on privacy and data-handling, see the survey privacy statement (English, Spanish, French, Polish, Hindi and Punjabi).

Codice universale di condotta - bozza delle linee guida sull'applicazione

Buongiorno a tutti,

Il comitato di redazione della fase 2 del codice universale di condotta ha completato i lavori, qui trovate la bozza delle linee guida sull'applicazione del codice universale di condotta (UCoC).

La bozza è basata sui risultati delle consultazioni, discussioni e ricerche, tra queste anche la consultazione in cui è stata coinvolta la comunità di lingua italiana ad inizio 2021.

La bozza è, appunto, una bozza, è quindi possibile (anzi, caldamente auspicato) che tutti coloro che sono interessati esprimano opinioni e commenti, anche suggerimenti su come migliorare la traduzione. Il comitato revisionerà la bozza tenendo conto del feedback ricevuto da parte delle comunità.

Il periodo di revisione comincia oggi 17 agosto 2021 e durerà fino al 17 ottobre.

La bozza può essere commentata in diversi "luoghi":

• direttamente su meta, nella pagina di discussione della bozza (pagina che probabilmente sarà ad alto traffico)
• sempre su meta nella pagina di discussione della traduzione in italiano (ambiente più intimo)
• nella Wikipedia:Codice universale di condotta pagina di discussione del codice universale di condotta che si trova sulla Wikipedia in italiano
• potete anche inviarmi commenti o osservazioni via email

Sono previsti inoltre degli incontri e tavole rotonde online (in inglese):

• Incontri online - 24 agosto, 31 agosto, 7 settembre @ 03:00 UTC & 14:00 UTC
• Tavole rotonde online - 18 settembre @ 03:00 UTC & 15:00 UTC

I commenti e le osservazioni verranno poi riassunte in un riepilogo quindicinale che verrà pubblicato qui.

Celebrating 18 years of Wikisource

Hello Wikisource enthusiasts and friends of Wikisource,

I hope you are doing alright! I would like to invite you to celebrate 18 years of Wikisource.

The first birthday party is being organized on 24 November 2021 from 1:30 - 3:00 PM UTC (check your local time) where the incoming CEO of the WMF, Maryana Iskendar, will be joining us. Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page, telegram (@satdeep) or via email (sgill@wikimedia.org) to add your email address to the calendar invite.

Maryana is hoping to learn more about the Wikisource community and the project at this event and it would be really nice if you can share your answers to the following questions:

• What motivates you to contribute to Wikisource?
• What makes the Wikisource community special?
• What are the major challenges facing the movement going forward?
• What are your questions to Maryana?

You can share your responses during the live event but in case the date and the time doesn't work for you, you can share your responses on the event page on Wikisource or in case you would like to remain anonymous, you can share your responses directly with me.

Also, feel free to reach out to me in case you would like to give a short presentation about your and your community's work at the beginning of the session.
